Little Wings Dedicated to Helping Homeless Kids World Wide

How many homeless children are there in the world?
100 million homeless children living in the streets around the world.250,000 children die every week from diseases and malnutrition. 2 million children are objects of sexual abuse - child pornography and demand for child prostitutes has increased globally.

"Though physically visible, street children are often ignored, shunned and excluded

Street children are among the most physically visible of all children, living and working on the roads and public squares of cities all over the world. Yet, paradoxically, they are also among the most 'invisible' and therefore hardest children to reach with vital services such as education and health-care, and the most difficult to protect.
The term 'street children' is problematic as it can be employed as a stigmatizing label - one of the greatest problems such children face is their demonization by mainstream society as a threat and a source of criminal behaviour. Yet many children living or working on the streets have embraced the term, considering that it offers them a sense of identity and belonging. The umbrella description is convenient shorthand, but it should not obscure the fact that the many children who live and work on the street do so in multifarious ways and for a range of reasons - and each of them is unique, with their own, often strongly felt, point of view.
The exact number of street children is impossible to quantify, but it is likely to number in the tens of millions or higher, some estimates place the figure as high as 100 million. It is likely that the numbers are increasing as the global population grows and as urbanization continues apace: 6 out of 10 urban dwellers are expected to be under 18 years of age by 2005.
In practice, every city in the world has some street children, including the biggest and richest cities of the industrialized world.
Most street children are not orphans. Many are still in contact with their families and work on the streets to augment the household income. Many others have run away from home, often in response to psychological, physical or sexual abuse. The majority are male, as girls seem to endure abusive or exploitative situations at home for longer - though once they do leave their home and family, girls are generally less likely to return.
Once on the street, children become vulnerable to all forms of exploitation and abuse and their daily lives are likely to be far removed from the childhood envisioned in the Convention on the Rights of the Child. In some cases, those who are entrusted to protect them become the perpetrators of crimes against them. Street children have been harassed or beaten by police and often find themselves in conflict with the law. Some have been rounded up, driven outside city limits and left there. Other have been murdered by vigilantes in the name of 'cleaning up the city', often with the complicity or disregard of local authorities.”

Law of Attraction for Kids....

Teach Our Children the Law of Attraction….

Have you ever wondered where you would be in life right now if you knew about the Law of Attraction when you were younger?
And can you imagine how the ‘children of today’s lives would be different if they started consciously creating their ideal futures now, instead of when they were older?
It’d be AMAZING, right?
If you have kids under your care, and you’d like them to have happy and fulfilling lives, then why not introduce them to the Law of Attraction while they’re young?
Kids are much more receptive to learning the Law of Attraction effectively as their minds haven’t been contaminated with the emotional baggage and limiting beliefs that adults have picked up throughout their lives.
If you have children around you right now and would like to introduce the Law of Attraction into their life, here are 7 easy tips to get you started:

Tip 1 - Teach them the power of affirmations. A good way to introduce children to the Law of Attraction is by explaining the power of words to them and how they can affect their mood.
Ask them to describe how they feel when they say a positive affirmation like ‘I am always happy’ out loud, and how they feel when they use negative ones like ‘I can’t’. Help them to understand the power of each.
Tip 2 - Encourage giving. Whenever you encourage kids to share their toys or donate them to someone less fortunate, you’re also teaching them how to let go and detach themselves from things.
The cycle of giving and receiving will also ignite a flow of abundance in their lives.
Tip 3 - Ask them to name their blessings. We know how important it is to be grateful for what we have and the important role that gratitude plays when we’re looking to attract something into our lives.
Teaching kids to appreciate all of the good things they have in their lives is also a good way to open the floodgates to abundance.
Every night before they go to bed, ask them to name 10 things that they’re grateful for in their life. They might even surprise you by naming more than 10.
Tip 4 - Encourage them to cultivate inner peace. Introducing them to meditation or yoga is a great way to help them understand their emotions so they can learn to relax and manage any potential stress.
Tip 5 - Grow their imagination. Show them how to focus on their dreams by creating fun vision boards together. This is a great way for them to set goals and it teaches them that by focusing on what they want, they can attract it into their lives.
Tip 6 - Encourage positive thinking with positive words. When you must say no or discipline your kid, rather than using words like: ‘don’t do this’ or ‘don’t be late’ or ‘don’t forget’…use words like: ‘remember to do your homework’, or ‘remember to get here on time’.
Tip 7 - Help them adopt the Law of Attraction as a way of life. Leading by example and adopting the Law of Attraction as a way of living can be much more effective than trying to explain concepts that may be difficult to understand. Remember to keep it simple by living with an abundance mindset.
And if you have any other tips on how to teach kids the Law of Attraction, please share them with our community in the box below. :)

Sophie Elise

Sophie is a 10-YEAR-OLD from Abingdon has just released her first single that she has written and performed and is using it to raise money for charity.
The song is called Believe – something Sophie Elise knows a lot about: this year she entered the national Teenstar singing competition and narrowly missed out on getting through to the grand final, after battling through the Open Mic UK competition last year. Sophie said : “I wrote the song for my teenage sister and it’s about always believing in yourself and never giving up.
ou can achieve and succeed in life if you have hope and be your true self.”

The song is available to download on iTunes, Google play and Amazon, and will raise money for the Little Wings children’s charity.
