today i visited fortitude valley one of Brisbane's districts with its China Town and Gay Village, the granduer of a bygone age shone thru the facades of the old buildings now occupied by cafes bars, tatoo parlours and sex shops, to one side of the valley the other side designer furniture and brand new apartment buildings bringing a real contrast to such a small area...
next i wondered down the waterfront area of the city with all its cafes and bars even at lunch time it was busy, yachts and steam paddled boats and ferries were moored along this busy stretch of the river i ended up in the botanic gardens, very beautiful sat for an hour in the muggy heat and warm drizzle rain before finally finishing the day in the city at the shopping arcades around Queens Street , there are more areas of this place to discover but it will have to be another day, thank you BRISBANE!
